This Dhamma Is Urgent!

The Great Aspiration is coming along beautifully.  All of your generosity is so deeply appreciated and has allowed the project to continue moving along at a steady pace.  Venerable Clear Grace Dayananda has been pushing the limits of skills, abilities, knowledge, and physical energy to manifest this Great Aspiration.  Thank you to all who have made financial and material offerings and to those who have offered assistance, time, space, energy,  and guidance with the building, wiring, repairs, and so many other needs such as shelter and food requisites. Specifically, Venerable wishes to express gratitude to John and Cynthia Calhoun who have offered endless hours of assistance with the van overhaul and website development, as well as providing shelter, workspace, tools, food, friendship, and loving support as this vision continues to take form. The dhamma shines through each and every time a new challenge arises.

While progress has been ongoing, the project now requires urgent financial support. Estimated costs to complete the plumbing, kitchen, exterior, and needed maintenance adds up to approximately $2,000.00.  Your donations will directly impact the completion of the mobile monastery so that it will be ready to launch by September.

Venerable Clear Grace Dayananda’s vision will begin with a voyage across the State of North Carolina, guided by the Dhamma, to share the teachings with communities and individuals whom you might not see at temples and monasteries. Venerable’s vision of “barefoot Buddhism” means meeting people where they are.

The success of any independent monastic depends fully upon the dana received from lay practitioners and those with a generous heart. Venerable Clear Grace Dayananda will continue in robes, walking the path of the great sages and teachers before us, for as long as possible. Your ongoing support of The Great Aspiration will provide support for the mobile monastery and for Venerable Clear Grace Dayananda, who, inturn, will provide support to communities all along her traveling path.

“Alms For the People Pilgrimage”

I will be undertaking pilgrimage beginning early September. I’ll begin in North Carolina visiting communities such as Kinston, Whitesville, Goldsboro, Henderson, Albermarle, Lumberton, Pineville, Dunn, Lexington, Laurinburg, Gaston, Wadesboro, Selma, Roxboro and many more in between and on the way. The energy of the Dhamma will carry me forth as I meet ALL the people where they are. Our communities shall not be forsaken or forgotten. I turn inward in full awareness diligent and ardent, deep in mind cultivation. May I emit boundless joy and a heart that wishes to expand beyond its limits.
