Venerable is creating a nationwide sangha of practitioners, volunteers, and dharma friends who can collectively bring the work of compassionate action into their respective communities and communities that don’t look like their own. It’s not about sharing the dharma itself, but about a vision to embody and model the dharma in action. It is a collective, nationwide invitation to step off the cushion and join together in the streets to bring awareness and compassionate action to the various needs in communities throughout the country.
Joining Alms for the people means being available when the need arises which is one of the most important things in this campaign – if not the most important.
